Position Overview:
As a Food Service Assistant with our agency, you will have the opportunity to work casual shifts at various hospitals and aged care facilities throughout Melbourne and Geelong, where you will play a crucial role in enhancing the dining experience of patients and residents. Your duties will involve assisting with meal preparation, service, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation, plating, and serving of meals to patients and residents.
• Ensure that meals are delivered in a timely manner and meet dietary requirements and preferences.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and dining areas, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Assist with the setup and cleanup of dining areas, including dishwashing and sanitization.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient and resident inquiries and needs.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless meal service.

Requirements:

• Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to interacting with patients and residents.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety.
• Flexibility to travel to and work at various facilities.
• Willingness to accept shifts on short notice.

Essential Requirements:

• National Police Check
• Up-to-date Influenza Vaccination
• 3 COVID Vaccinations
• Basic Food Handlers Certificate
